About the service
Web by Lea is operated by Lea, an independent web developer based in China. I provide website design, development, updates and related services for clients. Contact lea.hao.hll@gmail.com.
Project agreement
Each project starts with a written quote or agreement describing the scope, deliverables, price, payment schedule and any agreed timeline. Work outside the agreed scope requires a separate agreement and may incur additional charges. Timelines depend on timely access, content and feedback.
Client materials and access
You provide the text, images and other materials needed for the project and are responsible for having the rights to use them. You are responsible for the content and operation of your business and for your own website’s legal notices and compliance. Access to accounts and customer data must be agreed and limited to what is needed for the project.
Revisions and ongoing costs
Unless the project agreement says otherwise, two consolidated revision rounds within the agreed scope are included. Corrections needed to meet the agreed requirements do not count as a revision round. Domain registration, hosting, paid third-party tools and ongoing maintenance are separate unless expressly included in the agreement.
Payment, cancellation and rights
The standard payment schedule is 50% before work begins, 25% after the design is approved, and the remaining 25% before the website goes live. Please review the design, provide feedback and pay the design milestone within three days of receiving the design preview. If corrections are needed to meet the agreed requirements, we will agree a revised review and payment timeline. The project agreement will confirm any specific review, payment and launch arrangements. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for cancellation details. Ownership, licences and any third-party restrictions will be set out in the project agreement; rights in third-party materials remain subject to their licences. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
